Personal Statement
I am a Physical Education Teacher in Secondary schools in France where I promote active learning. In parallel, I explore in my PhD Study at Strathclyde University (Glasgow, Scotland), how learning processes occur, developing Activity Theory as a framework to track knowledge construction, while creating innovative artefacts for Physical Education lessons. No doubt, Education is an adventure which is created and lived by a community, and the interactions which rise in our daily life allow all the actors to grow and construct new resources. We are expansion, Education is expansion. As such, I created a blog, ‘Active Theory and Creative Thinkers for Physical Education’ (http://elisehoussin.me), to work in interaction and mix practice and theory with teachers and researchers.
