Personal profile

Personal Statement

I am a Lecturer (Assistant Professor) in International Relations. I joined the University of Strathclyde in May 2023.

Currently, I teach modules in International Relations (IR), Human Rights in IR, and Domestic Security.

Before joining the University of Strathclyde, I taught at the University College Dublin (UCD) and Trinity College Dublin (TCD). I taught and coordinated modules in International Relations; Human Rights; Social Movements and Contentious Politics - (Honor UG); and International Conflict and International Politics (PG)

I completed my PhD at the Trinity College Dublin (TCD) in 2021, under the supervision of Prof. Jesse Dillon-Savage.

I specialize in conflict studies and conflict dynamics. At present, my research agenda and current projects focus on bargaining and negotiation processes, escalation of violence, ethnic conflicts and self-determination disputes, the effect of within-movements fragmentation on government response to domestic dissent. More recently I have also approached themes of gender and radicalization.
