Personal Statement
I am a doctoral researcher at the Department of Marketing, University of Strathclyde. I am also a lecturer at the Department of Marketing Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka. I obtained B.Sc. in Marketing Management (Special) degree from University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2011 and completed MBA at the Postgraduate Institute of Management, University of Sri Jayewardenepura in 2015.
My doctoral research primarily focuses on the identity formation on social networks and attempts to understand how the influencer-follower interaction contributes to the identity formation of mega-influencers on social media.
