Personal Statement

I am a Research Assistant and PhD candidate student in the Electronic and Electrical Engineering department of the University of Strathclyde.
My research within the Centre for White Space Communications is focused on the development of Rural Broadband solutions, specifically looking at Dynamic and Shared Spectrum technologies and Software Defined Radio.
My most recent work has been part of the Strathclyde team involved in 5GRuralFirst; a 29-partner collaborative project developing 5G testbeds and trials across the UK.

Academic / Professional qualifications

I studied Electrical and Electronic Engineering at the University of Strathclyde, and graduated with an MEng (Distinction) in June 2015. 

Currently I am continuing my studies towards a PhD in the Centre for White Space Communications, part of the Centre for Intelligent and Dynamic Communications (CIDCOM) within the EEE Department.

 

Industrial Relevance

R&D Intern, Network Surveillance Group : (Agilent Technologies – now Keysight Technologies)

As a member of the R&D team, I was required to complete a research project in to emerging network architectures and technologies.
