Personal Statement

As a physics graduate from the MPhys course at the University of Strathclyde interested in interdisciplinary research, it was a natural progression to move into the biomedical engineering field to continue my studies. As a member of the EngD Medical Devices programme, I have the opportunity to branch into many research areas including telemedicine, neurophysiology and virtual reality therapies. My interests are heavily based in virtual reality therapies and brain computer interfaces - researching the possibility to provide those without full movement the ability to communicate and perform tasks independently is an area I see great potential in. 

I am currently supervised by Dr Mario E. Giardini and Dr Heba Lakany, working on Virtual and Augmented Reality for Brain Computer Interfaces.
