Personal Statement

Anthea joined the department of marketing as a Teaching Associate in 2016. Prior to 2016, Anthea has been tutoring for the department since 2013 on a part-time basis. Her research interests lie in services marketing, diversity and inclusion in services marketing, misinformation on social media and social marketing. 

Teaching Interests:

Anthea's teaching interests cover a range of topics including services and retail marketing, diversity and inclusion in services, misinformation on social media and social marketing. Anthea was nominated by her students for a teaching excellence award in 2014 and 2018. In 2023, Anthea was shortlisted for the Teaching Excellence Award for Best in the Business School. 

Anthea is currently the class coordinator for Social Marketing (honours class), the second-year undergraduate course Services and Retail Marketing and Masters modules in Retail Marketing. Her teaching experience includes teaching across a range of undergraduate course from introductory marketing courses to honours/masters level classes. Anthea has received extensive training in pedagogy and teaching and assessment methods and regularly attends workshops and webinars held by the Organisational and Staff Development Unit (University of Strathclyde). She has attained her Postgraduate Certificate in Advanced Academic Studies (Practice) and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
