Personal Statement

I am a knowledgeable and motivated educator, researcher and designer with more than 7 years of work experience. 

I completed a Ph.D. in Architecture from the Department of Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, University of Strathclyde. My research interests include multidisciplinary approaches and the development and testing of the transdisciplinary collaboration framework for the nature-based design of the sustainable built environment aligned with the RIBA Plan of Work 2020.

Previously I completed my Master of Architecture in Architectural Design (International) from the Department of Architecture at the University of Strathclyde with Distinction (2018-2020) and graduated with a Bachelor of Architecture degree (2012-2017) with a Certificate of Honours for outstanding thesis and a CGPA of 3.51/4.00 from Beaconhouse National University (BNU), Lahore, Pakistan; to become a registered Architect. I hold diplomas and certificates from Elsevier, Strathclyde Business School (SBS), Student Partnerships in Quality Scotland (SPARQS), Building Research Establishment (BRE), British Academy of Interior Design (BAID), Universitat Politècnica de València (UPV), and British Academy of Garden Design (BAGD).

Apart from academic excellence, I evolved my administrative, organizational, communication, and time management skills due to work experience in different industries such as academia, heritage, architectural design practice, and museum studies from 2015 onwards.

I have experience from various design projects in a variety of contexts of Pakistan and the United Kingdom relating to the disciplines of architecture, interior design, and garden design.

I have delivered international seminars focussed on Advanced Research Methods to PhD students at the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, University of Basilicata, Italy, and University of Belgrade, Serbia.

I hold memberships from RIBA, CIBSE, PCATP and IAP.
