Personal profile

Personal Statement

I am a global practitioner focussed on teaching leadership, strategy, consulting, and organisational dynamics in practice for masters level and post experience learners. I am also a transdisciplinary social researcher with an interest in social ethics and change making. My inquiry approach is informed by process, feminist and pragmatist philosophies. In addition, I am a UKCP clinical and organisational psychotherapist in private practice. My pronouns are she/her/hers.

Over the course of my 30+ year career (in information technology, sustainability, and then process consultancy and research) I have always found myself intrigued by how people navigate complexity and change, how teams form and accomplish their goals (or not), the vicissitudes of collaboration and dysfunction, individual and organisational learning, how roles - such as leadership - are taken up, and how we show up as ethical, emotional, and relational beings.

These interests now inform my consulting and academic work - also drawing on my experiences in leadership, strategy, innovation, change, and programme delivery - to facilitate and think with professionals from a range of industry sectors, functional roles and strategic contexts.

Academic / Professional qualifications

I have a PhD in Organisation Studies from Strathclyde University, an MBA from the University of Oxford, a Masters in Organisational Consultancy from the Tavistock Clinic, a Postgraduate Certificate in Organisational Psychiatry and Psychology from King's College London, and a Postgraduate Certificate in Sustainable Business from the University of Cambridge. I am an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy, and currently working towards full Fellowship.
