Personal Statement

Dr. Andy TC Wong received the BEng degree in Industrial Engineering and the MPhil and PhD degrees in Operations Research from the University of Hong Kong. He is a Senior Lecturer (Associate Professor) and the Head of the Engineering Management research group. He has published over 60 journal and conference papers in the area of Management Science/Operations Research/Soft Computing. As PI/Co-I, he has participated in a number of studentship, research and KTP projects with a total fund over £1M. Moreover, he is a lead supervisor of PhD/EngD students in a variety of management areas, e.g. quality management, capability management, supply chain management, human resource management, and remanufacturing management.

Apart from being a fellow of HEA, he is a member of IEEE and BAM which both are leading academic communities in the world. Also, he is a senior member and UK representative of Hong Kong Society for Quality (HKSQ). He serves as an Editorial Board Member of Decision Sciences Journal, Journal of Remanufacturing and Informatics, and reviewer of several International Journals such as International Journal of Production Research, IIE Transactions, Decision Support Systems, etc.
