Personal Statement

A. S. Ayub is a Teaching Fellow in Department of Electronic and Electrical Engineering at the University of Strathclyde (UoS), Glasgow, UK. He is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA). Prior to UoS, he was Course Leader for Graduate Apprenticeship (GA) BEng (Hons) Engineering in Instrumentation, Measurement and Control (IMC) and a Lecturer in School of Engineering, Robert Gordon University (RGU), Aberdeen, UK. Prior to RGU, he also worked as a lecturer at Perth College, University of the Highlands and Islands and a researcher in High Voltage Technologies (HVT) Group at the University of Strathclyde. His areas of research interest include lightning, lightning protection, cable diagnostics, renewable energy (wind and solar) and engineering pedagogical. Prior to joining the academia, he was a technician for Intel Technology based in Kulim, Malaysia.
