Adam Stock is a Knowledge Exchange Fellow in the Wind Energy and Control Centre at the University of Strathclyde. His research interests include, wind turbine control, wind farm control, control of wave enrgy converters, and flexible operation of wind power plant.
Prior to working at the University of Strathclyde (from the end of 2010 to the beginning of 2015), he obtained his MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Newcastle Upon Tyne (in 2007), before working in Industry.
From 2015 to the beginning of 2019 Adam worked in industry as a Control Algorithm Engineer for SgurrControl Ltd, where he worked on various control projects in the wind and wave energy sectors.
Whilst at the University of Strathclyde, Adam has conducted research under the Supergen Wind Energy project, has published and presented two conference papers on wind turbine control, has contributed research to the INNWIND project, has assisted in supervision of CDT mini-projects, taught students on a variety of courses, presented control tutorials, worked on a wind turbine jacket structure project with TWI, and has completed his doctoral thesis entitled "Augmented Control for Flexible Operation of Wind Turbines"
