Personal profile
Personal Statement
I am a native French speaker and lived and worked in Spain for 25 years. I also speak and write Spanish and Catalan fluently.
During those 25 years I taught French and English in a variety of educational environments, including private schools, l’Escola Oficial d’Idiomes (EOI, Official School of Languages) and multinational companies and I worked with every age group; children, teenagers and adults. Before moving to Spain, I worked in the French State Education System specializing in pupil support and social inclusion with children from difficult backgrounds.
I am currently working in Charleston Academy in Inverness. I have been in the Support for Learning department for 5 years supporting children with additional needs on a one to one basis and in a classroom setting, helping them to meet their full potential within the mainstream environment. I have gained a lot of classroom experience and learned many skills. The students often work under a great deal of pressure and it is essential to be able to identify needs and be flexible, co-operative and helpful.
