Narrative
Through a wide range of dissemination activities and publications the research of Mowat (School of Education) has reached a wide international audience. It has impacted at various levels:- contributing internationally to the development of understanding of inclusive practice as it pertains to pupils with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties (SEBD); providing an evidence-base for a new social-constructivist approach to supporting pupils with SEBD; furthering current imperatives in Scottish Education; developing leadership capacities in staff and impacting upon pedagogy and school ethos; leading to the examination of policy and practice within two Scottish local authorities; and, most importantly, positively influencing the lives of the pupils concerned, their families and their communities.Impact status | Open |
