Narrative
Automated, sensitive, simultaneous detection of several sequences of DNA is achieved with patented technology designed to improve disease management by overcoming diagnostic shortfalls in healthcare systems worldwide. Renishaw Diagnostics Ltd (RDL) formed from a 2007 spin out, employs 30 highly skilled personnel helping retain and expand the Scottish skills base and is set to expand. The first of a series of products is for pan-fungal infection. It was successfully validated and verified and ready for use autumn 2013. This will improve survival rates and reduce hospital bed occupancy globally by providing the clinician with early information on disease type.Impact status | Open |
