Description of impact
In updating the core content and practices in the PGDE English offering at the University of Strathclyde, a regulr field trip (outdoor learning) component was added. Drawing on the research and theory related to critical literacies and critical discourse analysis, the field trip requires students to engage with local contexts in relation to English teaching and identity, and power. The Strathclyde PGDE English is the only programme, as far as it documented, to include this kind of practice.Who is affected
