Description of impact
Professor James Mills has been pioneering research into the history of cannabis since the publication of his first monograph, Madness, cannabis and colonialism (Palgrave) in 2000, and the subsequent publication of Cannabis Britannica (2003) and Cannabis Nation (2012), both by Oxford University Press. Over the last five years his activities in the field have focused on leading the field away from national histories to address global questions in Cannabis: Global Histories (2021), edited with Lucas Richert. This impact project will drive a significant new direction as the research will be built into a major documentary series produced by Emmy Award-winning company zeropointzeroImpact status | In preparation |
