The radii of curvature, vertical displacement and approximated sag of each membrane extracted from optical profiler measurements.
Optical profiler measurements create a raw (.opd) file which was then opened in Gwyddion 2.55 software to extract 2D profiles along the two axes of interest: the diagonal, and between the tethers. A custom python script using a circle fitting algorithm was used to approximate the radius of curvature. The highest point on the extracted profile to the lowest point gave the maximum displacement. The sag (or sagitta) is a geometric calculation using the radius of curvature to calculate a theoretical displacement.
This data was to be used in conjunction to COMSOL to help simulate the membranes.
