Description
The following dataset contains measurements of longitudinal acoustic signals at 500 kHz. There are two types of acoustic signal: reference and longitudinal. The reference signal is measurement of the ultrasonic transmission and reception of a pair of 500 kHz transducers through a low velocity oil (666 m/s). The longitudinal signal is the same transmission, except with a ceramic filled epoxy material placed in the acoustic path.
The dataset collected contains measurements for two different types of ceramic filled epoxy backing (same epoxy is used in both cases) for ceramic filled volume fractions of 5,10,15 and 20 %.
The dataset also includes the physical data of each sample: thickness, diameter, weight and density.
