Exploring the Views of Patients with Mild Intellectual Disabilities on the Barriers to Primary Care Consultations: A Framework Analysis

Dataset

Description

Three focus groups, involving ten participants with mild intellectual disabilities, were conducted to identify the barriers to primary care consultations experienced by this population. This enabled the investigators to compare the similarities/differences of such barriers with those being reported in different countries and during different time periods e.g. twenty years ago. The results highlight that little progress has been made in relation to mitigating the health inequalities experienced by patients with ID.
