Description
A semiconductor microsphere laser based on colloidal nanoplatelets is demonstrated. The laser consists of a micron-sized supraparticle obtained by self-assembly of core/crown CdSe/CdS nanoplatelets with peak luminescence at 660 nm. The supraparticle shows multimode laser emission between 665 and 695 nm with a threshold of approximately 24 mJ/cm2.
