This supplementary file contains the data collected during the investigation of violet-blue 405-nm Light-based photoinactivation for pathogen reduction of prebagged human plasma.
Optical characterization data for human plasma and the 405nm violet-blue light source measured using a spectrophotometer and spectrometer respectively is included. Optical characterisation of the 300mL plasma bag, obtained using a power meter, is also included.
Data sets collected from 405nm light based microbial inactivation testing, contain the raw bacterial counts recorded for a broad range of microbes in 100 and 300mL prebagged human plasma following exposure to a 405nm light.
Data sets collected from a range of protein stability tests (raw data for AOPP testing, clotting assays, and fibrinogen and Protein S ELISAs) used to assess plasma protein integrity following exposure to 405nm light are included.
Complete dataset contains non-confidential information with human plasma supplied by TCS Biosciences Ltd (UK).
Raw data were inputted into Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, and subsequently inputted into Minitab statistical software to generate Control Charts of the data and to perform statistical analyses.
Data was gathered between January 2021 and February 2023.
This dataset was generated for intended use in a PhD thesis and for journal paper publication.
