Data for: "Image Edge Detection with a Photonic Spiking VCSEL-Neuron"



Corresponding dataset for paper titled "Image Edge Detection with a Photonic Spiking VCSEL-Neuron". Convolution is performed on black and white digital images to reveal edge information using ultrafast photonic spiking dynamics in both theory and experiment. 2x2 kernel operators and gradient magnitude are used in the image processing step before a VCSEL-neuron is used to threshold the destination pixel value and activate spiking for target edge features.
