This paper reports on micro-transfer printing of AlGaInP red micro-LEDs onto diamond and glass substrates and their application in gigabit per second visible light communication. The dataset is an origin file organised as followed: 1) folder Fig2: current density-voltage-optical power density and current density-bandwidth curves; folder Fig3: electroluminescence spectra, electroluminescence peak vs current density and CIE color coordinates; folder Fig5: SNR, bit loading and BER curves.
