Data for: 'From Freeze to Function: Optimised Cryopreservation and Mitochondrial Analysis Workflow for Skeletal Muscle Biopsies'

Dataset

Description

This dataset was generated for an original research paper aimed at optimising specimen handling of skeletal muscle biopsies and mitochondrial analysis to aid in muscle research. Human and rodent muscle samples were utilised for the optimisation of cryopreservation techniques, with results evaluated via histological and immunohistochemical staining procedures. Fluorescence images were obtained using a Leica SP8 Confocal Laser Scanning Microscope, and brightfield images were captured with an EVOS FL Auto Microscope. Fiji (ImageJ Version 1.54f) was used for image analysis. Microsoft Excel (Version 2406) was used for the organisation and structuring of data/measurements. GraphPad Prism (Version 8.0.2) was used for the generation of bar graphs and statistical analysis.

All images have been uploaded in .png format. Excel data is provided in .xlsx format. GraphPad data is available in .pzfx format. Files from Fiji are included in their respective formats: .roi for regions of interest, .model for image classifiers, and .arff for image data.
