Description

Evaluation of Klarite for the detection of the explosive PETN using both 633 nm and 785 nm excitation lasers, and a look at how the enhancement observed occurs. Figure 2&3 - 633 nm and 785 nm comparison, and comparison of the pit and area surround the pit of 3.2 mM PETN on Klarite. Figure 4- rectangular cross-section of 3.2 mM PETN on Klarite from the outer edge of the droplet to the center. Figure 5 - Sample spectra of crystalline and droplet features appearing on the surface of Klarite. Figure 6 - PETN concentration study on Klarite over the range 0.03 mM to 3.2 mM. Figure 7 - PETN concentration study on flat gold, flat silica and uncoated klarite over the range 0.03 mM to 3.2 mM. Figure 8 - Brief comparison of inhouse Klarite with small (0.5 um) and large (1.5 uM) pit features using a 633 nm and 785 nm excitations lasers with 3.2 mM PETN.
