Description

The aim of this pilot study was to assess the ability of B-mode and CEUS data collection for predicting lymph node status in murine models of cancer. Preliminary results indicate that the diagnostic accuracy can be increased by using several parameters compared to individual ones, suggesting that a sum score method of the parameters could help improve surgical and oncological treatment planning for cancer patients.
The deposited documents contain the raw contrast and 3D ultrasound datasets (opened using Vevo®LAB and Vevo®CQ softwares) as well as the results of these datasets and the histopathology sections (opened using Hamamatsu NDP Servu software) used to determine the presence or absence of lymph node metastasis.
Each contrast data and 3D recordings were analysed 3 times to ensure consistent results were obtained and histology sections were checked by at least two individuals for the presence of intestinal tumours.
