Data for: "An active play intervention to improve physical activity and fundamental movement skills in children of low socio-economic status"

Dataset

Description

The aim of feasibility cluster RCT was to determine the feasibility of an active play intervention to inform a future definitive RCT. Information on consent rate, data lost to follow-up, intervention fidelity and estimates of the effect for each outcome measure (physical activity, fundamental movement skills, inhibition and maths fluency) was collected.
There are six main files of relevance:

• Demographics
• Physical activity content
• School day physical activity
• FMS
• Inhibition
• Maths attainment

These excel files should be self-explanatory; for ease intervention and comparison groups have been presented separately and any variables are described in each excel file. Where required, comments have been added to variables on the excel documents to provide further explanation. For example, for gender a ‘1’ is Male and a ‘2’ is Female.

Details of the study design, participants etc. can be found in the related publication.
