Comparison of beam generation techniques using a phase only spatial light modulator

Dataset

Description

This folder contains the raw data used in the construction of the paper:

"Comparison of beam generation techniques using a phase only spatial light
modulator". T.W. Clark, R.F. Offer, S. Franke-Arnold, A. S. Arnold and N. Radwell. Optics Express

Dataset is held at University of Glasgow Enlighten: Research Data
-----------------------------------------------------------------

The relevant files are sub-grouped by figure and include camera images as well as the raw output of simulations.

Paper -
Contains the final .tex and .pdf files as well as supporting graphics.

bins2CSVs -
In order to conserve memory and for faster analysis, many files are stored as raw "Real32" binary files as output by the BinaryWrite function in Mathematica 10. This short script converts all .bin files to .csv as long as the dimension is known: 1280x1024 for camera images and 600x600 for simulation files.

N.B.
Figure 1 is a single .pdf file and is contained within the "Paper" folder in the
directory above.

Fig.02 -
Contains the camera images used in this figure.

Fig.03 -
Contains the raw simulation data displayed in (a) to (d) as well as
the full set of simulation results (and their fits) used in the production of (e).

Fig.04 -
Contains the constituent background-corrected camera images in addition to the desired and predicted images, which are stored as .bin files.

Fig.05 -
Contains the background-corrected camera images in addition to the desired images, where the desired modes are stored as .bin files.

Fig.06 -
Contains the camera images and associated fits needed to compute the PSNRs for each beam shape and propagation distance for every method.

Fig.07 -
Contains an excel file listing the power meter readings for the Ferris wheel
produced by each method at both imaging and at one Rayleigh range.

Fig.08 -
Contains the simulated predictions of the beam intensity: offset-and non-offset corrected as well as the associated images of the near- and far-field profiles for each aperature radius value.

Fig.09 -
Contains the component camera images of this figure.

Fig.10 -
Contains the simulated predictions of the beam intensity: offset-and non-offset corrected as well as the associated images of the input beam intensity profiles for each threshold value.
