Coherent control of plasmons in nanoparticles with nonlocal response

Dataset

Description

We model a scheme for the coherent control of light and plasmons in nanoparticles that have nonlocal dielectric permittivity and contain nonlinear impurities or colour centers. We consider both aluminium and gold spherical particles, which have a response to light that is strongly influenced by plasmons over a broad range of frequencies. Using exact mathematical formulae, we calculate, with a custom fortran code, the effect of an external control field which enables us to reduce absorption, suppress scattering and to control currents with light.
