Description
The following dataset includes a quarter symmetry 3D PZFlex model of five stages of a 1-3 piezoelectric composite acoustic insert for the AURA (Automated Ultrasonic Robotic Array) project. The stages include: the composite measured in air; the composite on a backing material measured in air; the composite with a quarter-wave length matching and backing layer measured in air; a corrected matching and backing layer measured in air; and finally a corrected matching and backing layer measured in water.
The modelling data may be post processed to obtain electrical sensitivity, beam patterns, modal shapes, inter-element cross talk and surface displacement.
