Description

I attended this conference, described by the following: "Blade leading edge erosion is a key operation challenge in the onshore and offshore wind industry. If unresolved it can lead to significant operational issues and capital costs. Offshore Renewable Energy (ORE) Catapult in collaboration with Scottish Enterprise is hosting an event, bringing wind turbine OEMs (Siemens & Vestas), asset owners (Eon and others), independent service providers and innovative technology companies together to stimulate the development of new commercial and innovative solutions to address this challenge. The event will look at the financial impact of erosion through preventative measures, improved materials, improvements in repair methods, enhanced monitoring and repair strategy optimisation."
