Description
Invited to the Palace of Westminster for the culmination of a three-year inquiry by The Westminster Commission, an All-Party Parliamentary Group on Miscarriages of Justice in Forensic Science in England and Wales. CFS were acknowledged in the report as the "UK's first Centre for Forensic Science" and we were one of only twelve organisations to submit formal written evidence to the inquiry, co-chaired by Professor Angela Gallop CBE, a long-standing Strathclyde associate. Notably, amongst the inquiry's key findings and recommendations, practices in Scotland were commended and the vital role of Academic institutes were highlighted.
Myself and colleague Dr Haddrill wrote and submitted the written evidence (attached)
