Description
Daniel Broby, Chartered FCSI, long-time fund manager and now at Strathclyde University, one of the great gurus on indexes and benchmarks, startled many CISI TV viewers recently when he claimed that the coming promotion of Korea from emerging developed markets status on the MSCI indices would be the ‘biggest trade ever,’ with implications across the investment sphere.
So on the day that Kuwait is scheduled to make this move, we will probe further into this with Daniel, and with Faisal El-Hakim, whose firm HANetf last year launched a Kuwaiti ETF primed to benefit from this move upwards in the investment firmament.
Milena Makhmutova-Boutant, Head of Markets Infrastructure at AIFC Business Connect in Kazakhstan will be looking at that market's bold ambitions for the journey to emerging market status.
