============
The Doctoral Researchers Group (DRG) and Strathclyde Doctoral School (SDS) are pleased to announce that the DSMS is back for its 5th year and will take place from (14th - 16th June) 2023.

This event aims to gather all doctoral researchers together from the various groups, departments, and faculties across the whole university, giving you all the opportunity to showcase your research topic to a diverse audience whilst widening your academic networks and broadening your skillsets.

We are very excited to be holding the symposium in person in the Teaching and Learning Building whilst still offering you the chance to present via Zoom if you are unable to attend on campus.

Symposium Theme
This year we will be thinking about ‘Horizons for Humanity’ and have defined the following four subthemes:

1 - Solutions for Sustainability:
Cross-cutting and novel interdisciplinary approaches which feature sustainable solutions, design, science and technology to sustain life on, above and beneath the earth.

2 - Inclusive Communities and Policies:
Understanding localised, place-based, community challenges, policies, and intersections which drive local, regional, national and international collaborations, connectivity and networks.

3 - Impactful entrepreneurship and innovation:
Broadening access to inclusive skills development, economic participation and opportunities for everyone.

4 - Healthier Humanity:
Scaling solutions in the areas of healthcare, pharmacy, environment and marine where collaboration, networks and participation are essential to promote healthier individuals, communities and societies.
