An Expert Panel Debate – “Climate change: who's responsible and how do we fix it” The goal of this sub-event was to bring together a diverse range of expert panelists to answer questions fielded by a moderator and discuss perhaps differing views with each other. The debate was divided into two main parts: Responsibility and Solutions. The audience was also invited to ask questions to the panel. The student organizers put together an outstanding panel of experts to partake in the debate. Professor James Curran CMet FRSE MBE an honorary fellow of Scottish Environment LINK and visiting professor at the Centre for Sustainable Development, University of Strathclyde, Professor Keith Bell, holder of the Scottish Power Chair in Future Power Systems at the University of Strathclyde, Sheila Ritchie, previously the Scottish Government appointee on the European Economic and Social Committee, Dr David Comerford, an economist and lecturer at the University of Strathclyde, and Dr Eirini Gallou, a Teaching Fellow for the Centre for Sustainable Development.
