Stitching as Action - An International Day of Education commemoration event

Activity: Participating in or organising an event typesParticipation in workshop, seminar, course

Description

This is our humble way to commemorate UN's International Day of Education 2023 at the University of Strathclyde. The event was organised by the PGR Students from the School of Education.

Our objective was to bring participants to an afternoon of sewing together as we share our ideas and aspirations on how we can broaden participation and access to education for young girls and women. This resonates with UN's dedication of IDE 2023 to the girls and women of Afghanistan and their continuous struggle to access and uphold the right to education.

Whether you have a sewing/embroidery background or not, you are most welcome!
