Description

This workshop will introduce attendees to the 'impact agenda', and will provide an overview of how to build impact into your research, specifically in the conext of RCUK grant applications. The session will also provide participants with an understanding of how to report and promote your impact to further your research and your research career.

Objectives:

Understand the impact agenda: What is meant by impact and why it's important.
Planning for impact: Understand the importance of impact in grant applications, best practice in writing RCUK Pathways to Impact and achieving impacts post research grant.
Reporting and Promoting Impact: Understanding of the impact assessment in the Research Excellence Framework (REF), how to write impact case studies and promoting your research and impact to non-specialist audiences.
