This session will introduce and explore recent changes in the scholarly publication landscape, particularly the growing importance of Open Access (OA), not only for enhancing research visibility and impact but for complying with the OA expectations of a growing number of research funders.

Associated strategies and tools for improving and better understanding citation impact will also be introduced.

Outcomes:

Awareness and understanding of emerging OA publishing paradigms
How OA publication can support improved research visibility, citation impact and compliance with funder policies on open research
Knowledge of practical strategies to maximise research visibility and citation impact
An introduction to research intelligence tools to support citation impact strategies
