Society for General Microbiology Symposium on Microbial Genome Dynamics

Activity: Participating in or organising an event typesOrganiser of special symposia

Description

One of the most fundamental problems in biology is how to replicate and deliver faithful copies of the genome to progeny cells. Yet equally important is that genetic variation is the fuel on which selection acts. This symposium will cover exciting recent developments in the segregation of chromosomes in microorganisms, the movement of DNA by transposons, integrons and phages and the biological consequences of DNA rearrangements.
