Description
Science Sketch-a-nory was a public engagement with research project generously funded by the Institute of Physics Public Engagement Grant Scheme. It brought together PhD students from the EPSRC/MRC Centre for Doctoral Training in Optical Medical Imaging (OPTIMA) together with artists from the community. Over a series of speed networking and co-creation sketching sessions, fuelled by pizza, those involved identified who they wanted to collaborate with to create an image. Each artist was then paid a commission to produce an artwork that responded to the science of the PhD student in just 4 hours! These artworks were then shared through social media channels, on Figshare, and printed copies were given to the students.Period | 28 Mar 2019 → 15 May 2019 |
