ScaleUp Britain - Glasgow 2024

THE ScaleUp Institute, in partnership with the London Stock Exchange, University of Strathclyde and Innovate UK, hosted the inugural ScaleUp Britain Summit at Strathclyde during Glasgow Tech Week, to support the ambitions and aspirations of scaling companies in Scotland across sectors and locations.

The Summit examined the funding landscape and options to raise capital in 2024 and beyond; providing insights on new initiatives to tap into private capital and access a broader and deeper investor pool, including institutional capital in an easier, simpler way whilst remaining private. while you grow. It discussed the opportunities to access markets and R&D opportunities through collaboration with Innovate UK both at home and abroad; and provided tips and insights on developing an effective board and advisory network to support scaleup growth.

In the absence of the Principal, I opened the Summit on behalf of the University of Strathclyde,  chaired two panel discussions and cohosted the speakers dinner in the evening.
