Recent years have seen increasing interest in "flow chemistry" as an alternative to batch production for small scale fine chemical processing. Continuous processing has some obvious benefits and is widely used for large scale chemical production, but there are many cases where batch manufacture is
preferred. This webinar will review some of the principles for selecting between batch and continuous processing, using some examples from the specialty chemical sector to illustrate "When batch is best".
