In Conversation with Fatima Daas. Identifying as a Muslim, feminist, and gay writer, Fatima Daas is becoming the new voice of her generation. She will present her novel The Last One which won her the prestigious Prix Les Inrockuptibles at the Institut. Drawn from her experiences growing up in a Paris banlieue, her powerful, lyric debut explores the diverse, often conflicting facets of her identity.
To celebrate the launch of her book in English, the author will engage in a dialogue with Dr. Caroline Verdier, lecturer in French and Francophone Studies at Strathclyde University.
