Activity: Public Engagement and Outreach › Public Events
Description
his drop-in session offers a space for contemplating darkness and the liminal moment between day and night. Like many other animals, our bodily rhythms are dependent on the light-dark cycles set by the Earth’s daily cycle of light. We offer a relaxed space in which to immerse in the ‘nocturnal’ as the year itself turns towards longer nights. Drawing on music, visual art and poetry, there will be stations set up to explore representations of twilight, darkness and night across a range of creative practices. Expect opportunities for deep listening, reading and recording your own responses to darkness.
Bring some writing materials, phone and headphones.
