I took on the role of PGDE Course Leader in June 2010, with over 750 students at the time. Over my five years as Course Leader, these numbers increased steadily. I had overall responsibility for leading a large and varied team in designing, developing and delivering an innovative and distinctive programme to all students, while offering strong leadership, support and guidance to colleagues. I constantly reviewed and adapted the course, taking account of changing national priorities and key issues in Education. In 2014-15, I led the course through the full quinquennial review by the university and GTCS, making substantial changes to the structure and content of the course in order to enhance the provision.
