Dr Aliakbar Jafari of the Department of Marketing presented the findings of his ongoing research on 'The Market Mediation of Ethno-Religious Conflicts' at the New Faith Leaders' Action Plan to Prevent Genocide Assembly in the Scottish Parliament on Thursday, 10 May. Among the audience were Mr Adama Dieng, Under-Secretary-General and Special Adviser of the United Nations Secretary-General on the Prevention of Genocide, Mr Bill Kidd (SNP), Rev Dr George Whyte (Principal Clerk of the Church of Scotland), Imam Sayed Razawi (Director General of The Scottish Ahlul Bayt Society and Representative of the Global Advisory Board of the UN Prevention of Genocide Agency) and many other faith leaders.
