LGBTQual+ Symposium

Description

This afternoon symposium explored the importance of qualitative research in understanding and improving the experiences of LGBTQ+ people in STEM. Organised as part of the LGBTQual+ project, the event featured preliminary findings from focus groups conducted with LGBTQ+ researchers in both academia and industry across the UK and US. The programme included a keynote “in conversation” session with two invited speakers, a panel discussion with collaborators from related projects, and opportunities for dialogue on how to create more inclusive and supportive STEM environments.
