Dr Kathy Hamilton and Dr Matthew Alexander were invited to deliver a presentation on their research on ‘Adopt a Station’ at the ‘Association of Community Rail Partnerships’ Seminar in Manchester Town Hall in July. Dr Hamilton presented findings from their three year study and discussed how local stations can become sites for heritage promotion and tourism gateways through the involvement of the local community.
