Description
Kate Thompson has joined the Strathclyde Institute of Education as a visiting Fulbright Distinguished Teacher from Austin, Texas. Kate has over a decade of experience teaching secondary science and will be studying how to leverage resources and promote best practices in supporting adolescent parents as students. She hopes to help improve educational outcomes, health, and quality of life for these students and their families. Dr Rebekah Sims and Prof. Yvette Taylor are acting as Kate's mentors during her time in the Institute (Jan.-June 2026).
