Description
This event will take place in-person, but the option to watch a live-stream of the event is also available. Please choose a "Virtual Attendee" ticket if you wish to only watch online. The session will be opened by Professor Tim Bedford, and will include an overview of how you can engage with the Strategic Themes and what they aim to achieve. We will also introduce the Strategic Theme Academic Coordinators, and there will be the opportunity to ask any questions on how you can engage with the Themes. This will be followed by a presentation on our newly awarded Impact Acceleration Account (IAA), and the funding that is available to support your KE and impact projects.
Additionally, we will launch a call under our new Strategic Themes Bridging the Gaps (BTG) funding mechanism, which aims to alleviate the barriers to collaborative, inclusive, challenge-led projects, and stimulate innovative approaches to collaboration.
The Strategic Themes will run a number of workshops to stimulate cross-disciplinary linkages across departments, schools and faculties, with funding available to support short interdisciplinary projects. Funding under these calls will be open to all faculties and disciplines, with funding available from both the Strategic Themes and the IAA. Full details on the workshop programme and funding available will be provided at the Information Session on 21st April.
